Parmer County Warrant Records Parmer County Warrant Records

Parmer County municipal court warrants start with the city court listed on your citation. That ticket points to Friona, Bovina, or Farwell Municipal Court, and each one handles its own traffic, ordinance, and fine-only cases. Friona and Bovina post online channels for a warrant check; Farwell offers a directory contact only, with no public warrant lookup. Call with the citation number, your date of birth, and the court name to ask about a warrant's status, payment, an appearance, or a recall. If the citation came from another court, contact that court directly. One caution: a phone call can explain the process, but it never counts as an appearance.

Municipal Court Warrants in Parmer County

Friona, Bovina, and Farwell each have a municipal court for city traffic, ordinance, and fine-only matters. Each court handles its own citations and failure-to-appear process. A city case is separate from JP precinct cases, the Constitutional County Court, and the 287th District Court. The Sheriff does not publish a public countywide warrant list that combines them.

Start with the city named on the citation. A Friona or Bovina portal may help locate a case, while a Farwell warrant check requires a call. If a ticket came from a county road or JP proceeding, the municipal court is not the right record source.

Friona Municipal Warrant Court at Main Street

Friona Municipal Court is at 617 Main Street, Friona, and can be reached at 806-250-2198. Its office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The court’s page links an all-warrant PDF, resident subsets, payment options, and a Texas FTA/FTP link. It says the citation date controls and that a phone call does not count as an appearance.

Friona’s court and JP1 share the same street address but are separate offices and case systems. Use the court name on the citation. The screenshot below is the city’s municipal court page, not a reproduced warrant list.

Parmer County Cities With Municipal Courts

The three incorporated city courts are Friona, Bovina, and Farwell. Their public information differs: Friona links PDFs and several ways to pay, Bovina offers a monthly list and citation lookup, and Farwell is listed in the Texas Judiciary directory without a public search portal. Bovina Municipal Warrant List and Search

Bovina’s Municipal Court page says its outstanding-warrant list is updated monthly and directs readers to the Traffic Payment page to verify an active warrant. The PDF shows Full Name, Violation, Total Due, and Warrant #; the inspected copy carried an older update date. The live citation search offers name, citation, license, SSN, vehicle, and business-name routes.

Required-field status is not marked, and the tool does not show a public warrant-status filter. Call 806-251-1116 to confirm the court’s current record and whether an amount is bond, fine, or total due. Do not use a PDF omission as proof of clearance.

Bovina court’s monthly list notice identifies the city source.

How to Check a Municipal Court Warrant

Use the official city route that matches the citation. Friona links its PDF lists and GovRec payment page. Bovina offers a searchable citation portal. Farwell’s court appears in the state directory, but no public list or online lookup was located. If a portal shows a match, call the court to confirm active status and the next required step.

  1. For Friona, open its Municipal Court page and choose the appropriate city PDF or payment channel.
  2. For Bovina, search with citation and DOB, or a listed license, vehicle, name, SSN, or business route.
  3. For Farwell, call 806-481-3620 or email the directory address to ask about your own case.
  4. For a county citation, contact the JP precinct; ask counsel and the issuing court about resolving any arrest warrant.

Farwell Municipal Warrant Directory Contact

The Texas Judiciary municipal-court directory lists Farwell Municipal Court at PO Box 338, Farwell, TX 79325-0338. It gives 806-481-3620, fax 806-481-3622, and cityoffarwell@yahoo.com. The directory names Donna Mitchell as presiding judge, but personnel and hours should be confirmed because no current city court page was located.

No official Farwell warrant list, payment search, police warrant page, or amnesty notice was found. Call before traveling and ask whether the case is city-issued, what amount or appearance is due, and how a recall is entered. Do not substitute the Sheriff’s county records request for a city court status check.

Texas Judiciary’s municipal court directory supplies the published court contact.

Friona Warrant Records Need a Written Request

Friona’s Open Records page says requests must be written and must seek existing city information. The city does not have to answer questions, perform legal research, or keep monitoring for future records. If the court page does not resolve a record question, name the specific existing municipal court document or status record you seek and identify the citation or cause number when available.

The city page states a 10-day response period and lists cityinfo@frionatx.us and 806-250-2761 for the request route. A response date does not guarantee that a record is public in full; exceptions, redactions, and any applicable copy charges can affect delivery. Ask the Municipal Court first for current warrant status, payment instructions, and whether an appearance is required. Use a written records request for documents, not as a substitute for the court’s case-specific direction.

The linked Friona Open Records page explains how to request existing city records. The image below shows its written-request instructions, not a warrant list.

What a Municipal Court Warrant Shows

Bovina’s public list displays four columns, while the Friona page links list PDFs without a captured schema. Farwell has no public list located. The court record may include an issuing judge, citation or cause number, amount, and service status, but ask the specific clerk rather than assuming all cities publish the same fields.

Warrant numberWarrant # appears on Bovina’s list; numbering format is not published.
ViolationBovina’s PDF describes the city citation or ordinance matter.
Total dueNot automatically a bond or warrant-recall amount.
Issuing courtFriona, Bovina, or Farwell Municipal Court, as named on the citation.
StatusAsk the clerk whether it remains active, was served, or was recalled.

Parmer County Municipal Warrants and JP Cases Stay Separate

A Friona city warrant remains a municipal case even though JP1 is also located at 617 Main Street. Bovina city matters are separate from JP2, and Farwell Municipal Court differs from JP3 at 401 3rd Street. A city court issues process for its own citations; a JP court handles its precinct’s fine-only matters and magistrate work.

For a county or precinct ticket, use the JP listing and payment instructions, not the city’s portal. The Sheriff may serve warrants but does not publish a chart assigning each warrant to a city or county officer. The issuing court can identify the proper service and recall contact.

Resolving a Municipal Court Warrant

Ask the city clerk what is required before paying. The correct step may be a new setting, a written plea, an appearance, payment, or a bond. Friona warns that an online amount is not refundable after submission. Bovina links a plea and fine PDF that was not machine-readable during research, so confirm its current terms with the court.

  1. Call the municipal court with your name, DOB, citation number, and court date.
  2. Ask whether payment is a plea, whether a hearing remains, and what recalls the warrant.
  3. If unable to pay, ask about a payment plan or hardship option under current court procedure.
  4. Keep the receipt and confirm when the court records the recall and any DPS report.

Warning: A portal balance or phone call does not prove the court recalled a warrant; get the next appearance and clearance instructions from the issuing clerk.
